It has been a frustratingly injury-hit campaign for Fabian Ruiz but, like a few others in the Spain squad, he has returned to full fitness in the nick of time and he will likely again be key for the Spanish this summer, alongside Pedri and Rodri in the middle of the park. The former Napoli midfielder did eventually get himself back to full fitness to help Paris Saint-Germain defend their UEFA Champions League title this season and he will be seeking to emulate his performances from UEFA EURO 2024 whereby he made the tournament’s Team of the Tournament.
