Appearing at his second major international tournament after making the squad at UEFA EURO 2020, 2024 Olympic gold medallist Eric Garcia has enjoyed a resurgence in his career in the last year or so. Highly rated early on at Manchester City, he went on to show some inconsistencies and issues at City and then at Barcelona, even loaned out to Girona for the 2023/24 campaign. Last season, though, the versatile defender was one of the key men for Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana as they defended their La Liga title, forcing his way into the Spanish squad.
