The pressure has eased significantly on Gary O'Neil as his in-form Wolves side welcome Bournemouth to Molineux on Saturday.

Wolves Preview: On the up

There is a much better feel about Wolves now with Gary O'Neil's currently on a four-game unbeaten run in the division, with confidence clearly returning to the players after a nightmare run of games to start the season.

In-form Matheus Cunha inspired them to a 1-4 victory at Fulham last weekend - their second straight win - and they head into the weekend outside of the bottom three for the first time this season.

Bournemouth Preview: Stuttering Cherries

Bournemouth suffered a second straight loss last weekend, and just their second at home this season, when Brighton came away from the Vitality Stadium with a 1-2 victory. The last time they lost three in a row was the final three games of the 2023-24 campaign.

The Cherries have been hovering around the mid-table mark for much of the campaign but they have a fairly decent points buffer between themselves and the teams near the relegation zone.

Wolves Team News: Defensive pair back fit

Defensive injuries forced O'Neil's hand last weekend but with Craig Dawson and Santiago Bueno back in contention, he could return to a back four on Saturday with Rayan Ait-Nouri pushed into the more advanced role that we have seen on occasion.

Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore, Enso Gonzalez and Sasa Kalajdzic are still out, but Pablo Sarabia is available again and could displace Jean-Ricner Bellegarde in the starting line-up.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sa; Semedo, S. Bueno, Dawson, Toti; Lemina, Joao Gomes; Sarabia, Cunha, Ait-Nouri; Strand Larsen

Unavailable: Mosquera (Injured), Traore (Injured), Gonzalez (Injured), Kalajdzic (Injured)

Questionable: Meupiyou (Fitness), Lima (Injured)

Bournemouth Team News: Semenyo suspended

Andoni Iraola stated that there was no change with his injured players, meaning Julian Araujo, Alex Scott and Luis Sinisterra are still missing, while a couple of other unnamed players are carrying minor knocks that shouldn't impact their availability.

Antoine Semenyo will sit this one out after picking up his fifth caution of the Premier League campaign last weekend.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Adams, Cook; Tavernier, Christie, Kluivert; Evanilson

Unavailable: Araujo (Injured), Scott (Injured), Semenyo (Suspended), Sinisterra (Injured)

Questionable:

Wolves vs Bournemouth Prediction

Wolves are not an opponent any team will want to face right now, as Gary O'Neil as them purring after a difficult start to the season. It is difficult then, to see Bournemouth containing the likes of Matheus Cunha as they have only kept one clean sheet in 13 games in all competitions this season (which strangely came against Arsenal).

A confident Wolves side will look to burst out of the blocks on home turf and can be backed to open the scoring at Molineux.
