Lincoln City’s first competitive fixture under the command of Chris Cohen and Tom Shaw following Michael Skubala’s departure for Bristol City sees them travel to Derby County, a side they’ll be facing in the Championship this coming season. John Eustace’s Rams, who finished eighth-place in the Championship during 2025-26.
It may well take time for Cohen and Shaw to really implement their ideas as joint-head-coaches despite their knowledge of the players and relationships already established with them. A trip to Derby represents a tough start, despite there being perhaps less pressure with it being in the cup.
