Notts County are a team still riding the crest of a wave following their dramatic promotion and so often you see the momentum of a newly promoted side carry into a new campaign. When taking this into account, Burnley will need to be careful and Nicky Hayen has been dealt not an easy start as their new head coach despite playing a team in League One.
It was a campaign to forget for Burnley last season and the hope is that they will find life significantly easier in the Championship. A good cup run will help them on their way but don’t expect Notts County to be broken down quickly. They could wind up frustrating the hosts and backing under 2.5 goals across 90 minutes may prove a shrewd move.
