Data is current up to and including the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League final
The only nation responsible for a double-figure number of UEFA Champions League final goals are Spain. A total of 11 Spaniards have scored 13 goals between them, a huge figure.
To put that into perspective, the next highest are the eight goals registered by both German and Brazilian players, with seven players from each nation accounting for those 16 goals overall.
Argentina could add to their total of six UEFA Champions League final goals in the 2024-25 matchup between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan, with Inter striker Lautaro Martinez likely to be key to the Italian giants' success offensively.
If Lautaro was to score twice against Paris Saint-Germain, he would become the third Argentinian to record two goals in a UEFA Champions League final, joining Diego Milito, Hernán Crespo and former PSG star Lionel Messi.
Cristiano Ronaldo is responsible for four of Portugal's five UEFA Champions League final goals, whilst five Italians have combined for seven goals. It is also no surprise to see plenty of French representation with five Frenchman accounting for five goals in the UEFA Champions League final. As the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Marcus Thuram take to the field in the 2024-25 final for PSG and Inter respectively, those numbers are likely to increase.
The 2024-25 encounter in Munich also opens up the opportunity for a new nation to register a UEFA Champions League final goalscorer. Hopes will be high for Paris' attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of Georgia, whilst midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu would become the first Turkish goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League final should he find the net for Inter.
