Canada enjoyed an impressive 2024 CONMEBOL Copa America this summer in which they reached the semi-finals of the tournament. They have lost just two of their last ten matches inside 90 minutes with both of those defeats coming against Argentina.

Suriname vs Canada Prediction

Suriname will be expected to put ten men behind the ball and simply try and salvage a draw or at least stay in the contest for this first-leg against Canada. They have some pedigree within their squad but they are generally still quite weak, whilst Canada have an emerging squad full of real talent expected to seriously compete at the 2026 FIFA World Cup co-hosted by Canada as well as Mexico and the United States. Canada remain favourites for what could end up being quite a close contest in Suriname.
