Real Madrid vs Mallorca Prediction

Real Madrid may have had a few wobbles this season, particularly in the UEFA Champions League where they still have some work to do, but they are nevertheless top of La Liga at the moment and have already won a trophy this season having lifted the FIFA Intercontinental Cup trophy last month.

It has taken some time for Carlo Ancelotti to accommodate the considerable talents of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior and summer signing Kylian Mbappe in the same line-up, but he has started to find the right balance of late with Bellingham in particular having thrived over the past couple of months.

Mallorca were playing in the second tier of Spanish football as recently as 2021, but they have come a long way in a short space of time and will now feature in the Spanish Super Cup for the first time in over 20 years.

That is due to them finishing as runners-up in last season’s Copa del Rey, and they are currently in a highly respectable sixth position in the La Liga table under Jagoba Arrasate, who was appointed in the summer.

These two sides met in their respective league openers back in August, a 1-1 draw in Mallorca, but Real Madrid have become a more cohesive attacking unit since then. Los Blancos have scored 23 goals in their last seven games across all competitions, and when a trophy is on the line, they invariably turn up. A place in the final beckons for Ancelotti’s men.

Real Madrid vs Mallorca Tip: Real Madrid to win & over 2.5 goals
