Mike Malott vs Charles Radtke prediction

Mike Malott (11-2-1) once again fights on home soil in Canada and he will be keen to build on his good win over Trevin Giles last time out. In November, he grabbed the unanimous decision win over Giles to bounce back nicely after a TKO loss to Neil Magny.

Malott has won four of his five fights since joining the promotion and he has also picked up a couple of Performance of the Night bonuses during that time. He is a well-rounded fighter with solid power and good submission skills.

He takes on Charlie Radtke (10-4) who is coming off a TKO win of his own as he beat Matthew Semelsberger at UFC Fight Night 247 last November. That was also a bounce-back win as he had suffered a tough knockout loss at the hands of the dangerous Carlos Prates which had halted his six-fight winning streak before that.

Radtke packs a fair punch and he has stopped his opponent in four of his last five victories. He coms into UFC 315 aiming to win for the fourth time in five fights since joining the promotion.

There is not a great deal to choose between these two fighters and they have had very similar career paths. Both have shown that they can compete in the UFC having enjoyed some success in the Octagon but both have suffered one loss against top end fighters.

It is Malott that was prefer coming into this one and think he has the greater levels within him. He possesses good knockout power but can also take this fight to the ground and dominate there which may well be the best tactic against Radtke here. Approach this one with caution as Radtke is a very game opponent but Malott gets our vote marginally.

Prediction: Mike Malott to win
