Modestas Bukauskas vs Ion Cutelaba prediction

Modestas Bukauskas (17-6) is riding an impressive streak right now as he has won six of his last seven fights and is flying with confidence. The Lithuanian is coming off an impressive first-round knockout of Raffael Cerqueira in just 131 seconds in February and the speed of that win has enabled him to get back in the Octagon so quickly.

The 31-year-old, who fights out of England, has had one KO loss during that run, but he is enjoying himself in what is his second spell in the UFC. He appears to be fighting with less caution and with confidence high, he is as dangerous as ever.

He takes on Ion Cutelaba (19-10-1 with one no contest) who is enjoying a positive run of his own. He suffered three successive losses back in 2022 but has responded well by winning three of his last four including his last two.

He fought on the same card as Bukauskas in February and also produced a first-round win as he submitted Ibo Aslan. He now returns looking to make it three in a row and he will be eager to win against a fellow Eastern European.

It would be unfair to label either of these fighters one-dimensional but we have a feeling that this will be an absolute barnburner. There is very little chance that this one goes the distance and in a fight where the pair as so evenly matched, that is our play here.

Prediction: Fight will not go the distance
