Everton vs Peterborough Prediction

We have two sides that will believe they are too good to go down from their respective divisions but they both remain firmly involved in relegation battles with Sean Dyche and Darren Ferguson under pressure ahead of the FA Cup third round.

The Toffees may have believed things were turning around as they avoided a disastrous December by earning three successive draws against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. However, since those results, they have suffered back-to-back-to-nil defeats against Nottingham Forest and then AFC Bournemouth last weekend.

Peterborough United have been playoff semi-finalists in each of the last two League One seasons but Posh, after a summer exodus in 2024, are now struggling down in the third-tier and they suffered yet another defeat at the weekend as they lost 1-0 to title challenging Wrexham thanks to a Steven Fletcher strike.

Posh have won just one of their last nine games in the league and, despite the frustrations and concerns at Goodison Park, Everton should get themselves over the line here.

Everton vs Peterborough Tip: Everton to win & under 3.5 goals
