Tottenham preview: Genuinely going down
Tottenham Hotspur begin this weekend's round of fixtures sitting in the bottom three after West Ham United's 4-0 hammering of Wolverhampton Wanderers last week before Spurs' 1-0 defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
While with Brighton, many players, including captain Lewis Dunk, said the start of the De Zerbi era was all over the place. Spurs needed and need an instant impact but things looked like more of the same last week and relegation is now more than likely, quite remarkably.
Brighton preview: Soaring Seagulls
Brighton, on the other hand, find themselves in the hunt for a top six finish and potentially even UEFA Champions League qualification with the Seagulls in excellent form ahead of this weekend.
The visitors comfortably defeated Burnley by two goals to nil at Turf Moor last weekend, courtesy of a brace of goals from versatile Netherlands international midfielder Mats Wieffer in Lancashire.
Tottenham team news: Vicario still out
Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Italy international goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario remains sidelined, as he was last weekend, with Antonin Kinsky remaining in net.
James Maddison is still recovering but there is no return date for the Englishman, while Cristian Romero is now out again with Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma back fit.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kinsky; Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Udogie; Gray, Sarr; Kolo Muani, Simons, Tel; Solanke
Unavailable: Vicario (Injured), Romero (Injured), Davies (Injured), Bergvall (Injured), Maddison (Fitness), Kudus (Injured), Kulusevski (Injured), Odobert (Injured)

Brighton team news: Dunk still suspended
Brighton boss Lewis Dunk remains unavailable for this weekend as the England international is serving the second of his two-match ban in the capital city.
Fabian Hurzeler has confirmed there are no other fresh concerns with James Milner not too far away from a return, while Kaoru Mitoma is available but may not get in ahead of Yankuba Minteh.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Wieffer, Van Hecke, Boscagli, Kadioglu; Baleba, Gross; Gomez, Hinshelwood, Minteh; Welbeck
Unavailable: Webster (Injured), Dunk (Suspended), Milner (Injured), Tzimas (Injured)

Tottenham vs Brighton prediction
Brighton have now enjoyed five victories in their last six matches as a result of that win up in the north of England. Spurs, amazingly, haven't won a Premier League game in 2026 and, from a narrative perspective; De Zerbi, a manager that eventually fell out with Brighton supporters and the club's hierarchy, being further punished and pushed towards ignominy already in Tottenham seems simply likely on Saturday evening.
Tottenham vs Brighton tip: Double chance - Brighton to win or draw
