Maccabi Tel-Aviv come into this one on the back of an impressive performance to defeat Israeli Premier League winners Hapoel Be’er Sheva by three goals to one in the Israeli Super Cup last week. Maccabi Tel-Aviv reached the league phase of the UEFA Europa League last season.
Sheriff will be expected to play quite a defensive style of football and drag the tie out ahead of the second-leg on neutral territory last week and so a low-scoring encounter is to be expected for this one in Transnistria.
