Vikingur Reykjavik vs Hapoel Be’er Sheva prediction

In the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League earlier this month, Vikingur Reykjavik defeated Hungarian champions ETO Gyor last week. After winning by a goal to nil in the first-leg, they then completed their upset by sharing a 2-2 draw in Hungary at Stadion ETO, having gone ahead and then equalised in that topsy turvy second-leg.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva come into this one on the back of succumbing to a 3-1 defeat to Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Israeli Super Cup last week. The Israeli champions suffered a defeat to Levski Sofia in the UEFA Europa League and then AEK Athens in the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva need to find some form in Europe but this is a really tough test as they head to Vikingsvollur and the tie may well have to be decided in their second-leg at the neutral venue of Haladas Sportkomplexum in Szombathely in Hungary.

Vikingur Reykjavik vs Hapoel Be’er Sheva tip: Under 2.5 goals
