Qarabag vs CSKA Sofia prediction

Having reached the knockout play-offs in the UEFA Champions League last season, Qarabag surprisingly relinquished their long-term grip on the Azeri Premier League title to Sabah last season, knocking them into the UEFA Europa League. They defeated Vestri with two 3-0 victories in the first qualifying round earlier this month.

CSKA Sofia come into this one on the back of a 2-1 victory in Derry to defeat Derry City by five goals to three on aggregate in the first qualifying round. The Bulgarians finished fourth in the Bulgarian top-flight last season but won the Bulgarian Cup for the first time in five years to qualify for the UEFA Europa League.

CSKA Sofia are the most successful club in Bulgaria and the same can be said for Qarabag in Azerbaijan. The two sides both play quite attacking and proactive football and so both teams scoring seems a decent bet for this first-leg.
