Ararat-Armenia vs Shamrock Rovers prediction

In their first qualifying round tie, Ararat-Armenia were fortunate to edge past Latvian champions Riga. Ararat won the first-leg 2-0 in Yerevan before giving that lead up inside 23 minutes of the second-leg in Latvia. Riga were pegged back to 2-2 after 63 minutes, though, and, despite Riga snatching the win on the night, Ararat squeezed through.

Shamrock Rovers needed a turnaround in Dublin last week. Their first qualifying round first-leg saw the Irish champions defeated 2-0 by Maltese champions Floriana but they produced an impressive second-leg performance to win 5-1, with goals scored by Lee Grace, Dylan Watts, John McGovern, Graham Burke and Jack Byrne.

Shamrock Rovers have star defender Pico, who represented Cabo Verde at FIFA World Cup 2026, back in action but that may not be enough in a tie that features two sides reliant on home advantage.

Ararat-Armenia vs Shamrock Rovers tip: Double chance – Ararat-Armenia to win or draw
