Omonia Nicosia vs Kairat prediction
Under the management of former Blackburn Rovers boss Henning Berg, Omonia Nicosia won the Cypriot First Division for the first time since 2021 and just the second time since 2010. Some of their standout players include Carel Eiting, Moses Odubajo, Loic Nego and new signing Lois Diony.
Kairat produced major upsets, both via penalty shootouts, against Slovan Bratislava and Celtic to become the most easterly team to reach the league phase of the UEFA Champions League last season. The Kazakh champions have made it to the second qualifying round this time after a 4-1 aggregate win against Sutjeska Niksic last week.
Kairat have been reliant on home advantage in most of their European ties and so backing Omonia to get themselves ahead, or at least not fall behind, seems a decent shout for this one.
