Iberia 1999 vs Slovan Bratislava prediction

Iberia 1999, formerly known as Saburtalo Tbilisi, overcame Flora Tallinn in an entertaining encounter in the first qualifying round last week. In the first-leg of that tie in Estonia, Iberia won by three goals to two before they raced into a 2-0 lead in the second-leg in Georgia, pegged back to 2-2 before eventually holding on and edging through.

Last season, Slovan Bratislava managed to hold on at the top of the Slovak top-flight to hold off Dunajska Streda. They were one of the shock victims of Kairat’s run into the league phase of the UEFA Champions League last summer. The Slovakian champions are now managed by former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.

Toure is expected to play a front foot and attacking style of football with Slovan, which matches up similarly to Iberia and so both teams scoring seems a good bet for this first-leg at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi.
