Payton Talbott (9-1) is coming off the first loss of his professional MMA career to Raoni Barcelos so he will be looking to get back on track at UFC 317. Prior to that, he had won all nine professional MMA fights including his first three in the UFC as the Nevada native has made an impressive impact since joining the organisation.
The UFC matchmakers have handed him a tough assignment as he looks to get back to winning ways and he meets talented Brazilian Felipe Lima (14-1) on Saturday night.
Since losing his first ever MMA bout, Lima has been on a tear winning his last 14 bouts. The Jungle Boy earned his shot in the UFC and hit the ground running winning his first two fights in the Octagon.
This will be a really interesting clash of styles with Talbott possessing excellent knockout power but Lima has the all-round edge. He has more ways to win whether than is on the mat or with his impressive workrate. We just favour him to evade Talbott’s power and control this fight to get the win.
