Hyder Amil (11-0) consolidated his status as one of the most promising talents in the featherweight division last time out as he won a split decision over William Gomis. That was an exceptional win over a talented opponent back in March and speaks volumes of his talent. His potential is much greater than that but the narrow win will just give him that wake-up call that he needs to keep raising his game.
He takes on the talented Jose Delgado (9-1) who has won his last six fights and including his UFC debut last time out. He knocked out Connor Matthews back in February and that was his fourth successive win by KO.
He has not fought the quality of opponent that Amil has yet however and that is why it is Amil who simply has to be favoured in this one. Delgado certainly has a puncher’s chance and that is likely why he is the favourite coming into this one but we prefer Amil to get the win here.
