Jhonata Diniz (8-1) returns to action after the first loss of his professional MMA career at UFC 309 last time out. In November on the card in New York, Diniz was TKO’d by Marcin Tybura in what was unquestionably the biggest step up of his career and he will be eager to bounce back from that.
He has been paired with UFC newcomer Alvin Hines (6-0) who gets his shot in the big time after winning all six of his pro fights so far and stopping each of his opponents. Three knockouts and three submissions have seen him rise to prominence but he has been handed a tough test on his debut.
We firmly likely Diniz in this one. He has the experience and quality that Hines has yet to face and that should be the differentiator in this one. Expect Diniz to win and we suspect a stoppage will be on the cards.
