Beneil Dariush vs Renato Moicano prediction

Beneil Dariush (22-6-1) is back after more than 18 months out of action so it will be interesting to see what condition he is in on Saturday night. He suffered a serious knee injury in 2024 and then when he was supposed to meet Renato Moicano back in January at UFC 311, that bout was shelved when Moicano was asked to fill in the main event against Islam Machachev.

Dariush now comes back and he will be hoping to hit the ground running after his surgery and bounce back from successive knockout losses against Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan.

Prior to those losses against some of the best in the division, Dariush had been on an eight-fight winning streak. He will look to rekindle that form but he has a tough opponent on his return.

Renato Moicano (20-6-1) was handed that late notice title shot in January but was submitted in the first round as Islam Makhachev had too much quality for him.

He had won his four fights prior to that and was one of the form fighters in the division. It will be interesting to see how he responds from that loss but he has bounced back nicely after previous losses.

The bookies have this fight pretty even and had both come into this fight in similar circumstances, we would possibly have edged Dariush. That said, we do not like the inactivity due to injury and that is likely to work against him. With that in mind, we edge Moicano to get the win.

Prediction: Renato Moicano to win
