Paul Craig vs Rodolfo Bellato prediction

Paul Craig (17-9-1) has his first fight of 2025 and he will be hoping for a change in fortunes as he has lost his last three bouts and has lost five of his last six. This bout was supposed to take place in May but was scrapped just 30 minutes before the fight as Bellato had a skin infection. They now get it on some weeks later.

While the likeable Scot continues to entertain whether he wins or loses, he will be desperate for a win to stay relevant in the light heavyweight division.

He comes up against another highly dangerous opponent in Rodolfo Bellato (12-2-1); a 29-year-old Brazilian who has had just two fights in the UFC. He rose to prominence in Dana White’s Contender Series and made a statement on his Octagon debut as he TKO’d Ihor Potieria.

His second and last fight was an all-out war with Jimmy Crute where he was in trouble in the first round but bounced back in the second and third to earn a majority draw.

That fight may just show some weakness in Bellato but the question will be whether Craig can take advantage of that.

Craig has never been blessed with that much power and he is very much a submission specialist. The Scot will be desperate to get this to the ground while Bellato will be intent on striking and knockout out his opponent.

Our sense is that Bellato will be technically good enough to thwart Craig’s threat and we expect Bellato to connect with Craig at some stage. A stoppage for the dangerous Brazilian is on the cards.

Prediction: Rodolfo Bellato to win by KO/TKO
