Edmen Shahbazyan vs Andre Petroski prediction
Edmen Shahbazyan (14-5) continues to maintain his exciting style of head-hunting as he simply does not do boring fights. In his 19 professional MMA fights, only two have gone the distance with 12 wins coming by knockout and himself being KO’d three times.
That style is what makes his so appealing to the matchmakers and is why he is once again fighting on a main card.
He comes off a TKO victory over Dylan Budka in February which was just his third victory in his last eight fights. Even after those run of losses, he remains faithful to his aggressive style and that will surely be the case in Atlanta on Saturday night once again.
Andre Petroski (13-3) is the man standing in his way and he comes into this bout having won his last three fights. All three wins came via unanimous decision with the latest one against Rodolfo Vieira in February on the same card which Shahbazyan who fought on that card too.
Petroski’s best route to victory will be to get this fight to the mat but he will have to evade Shahbazyan’s power. He has been knocked out three times in his career and that does not bode well when facing somebody with the power that Shahbzayan possesses. For those reasons, we lean towards Shahbazyan to get the win.
Prediction: Edmen Shahbazyan to win
