Alonzo Menifield vs Oumar Sy prediction
Alonzo Menfield (16-5-1) is looking to build on his split decision win last time out in February against Julius Walker. Not only was it awarded Fight of the Night, but Menifield needed it after successive knockout losses to Carlos Ulberg and Azamat Nurzakanov.
He now takes on unbeaten Frenchman Oumar Sy (11-0) who has hit the ground running since joining the UFC. He has won both fights since joining the promotion beating George Tokkos by submission and then picking up a unanimous decision over Da Woon Jung last time out in September.
Sy is incredibly well-rounded with a strong striking game and solid on the mat. He will have a significant height and reach advantage of Menifield which we suspect will be a key factor in this bout. Menifield is game but Sy is on the rise and we think the younger man just has too much for Menifield in this one.
Prediction: Oumar Sy to win
