Rodrigo Sezinando: Brazilian chasing a first UFC win
Rodrigo Sezinando (8-2) will be desperate to get his first win in the UFC after losing on his debut back in September 2025, when he suffered a first-round TKO defeat to Daniil Donchenko. The Brazilian will be eager to bounce back here and get back on the winning trail.
Theodor Berggren: Swede looking to bounce back from Donchenko defeat
Sweden’s Theodor Berggren (8-4) comes into this bout in an almost identical situation to Sezinando, having suffered a TKO loss on his UFC debut in June 2026, albeit in the second round, to the same man, Daniil Donchenko. The 26-year-old will be desperate to get a win under his belt in the organisation and prove he can perform at this level.
Rodrigo Sezinando vs Theodor Berggren prediction
Given that both men are coming off KO losses to Daniil Donchenko in their most recent appearances, it should be interesting to see how this one unfolds.
I can see why Sezinando is the favorite here. His loss to Donchenko was his first stoppage defeat and he’s arguably got the more well-rounded game. Outside of his last fight and a decision defeat during the early days of his career, he’s blown through anybody they’ve put in front of him, scoring seven finishes in eight fights with six of them coming in the very first frame.
However, while he’s a slight underdog heading into this one, I’m actually leaning towards Berggren to rebound here. Not only does he have a 100% finishing rate, he’s a really solid striker and has a significant frame advantage in this fight. I can envision him surviving Sezinando’s early blitzes and beginning to pick him apart at range as the fight progresses. There’s also the argument to be made that he was marginally more competitive in defeat against Donchenko than Sezinando was.
A win for the Nova Unaio representative would not come as a huge shock, but we’re going with Berggren to pick away at the Brazilian after a rough first round to find a finish somewhere in the last two frames.
Prediction: Theodor Berggren to win
