Mansur Abdul-Malik vs Cody Brundage prediction
Mansur Abdul-Malik (8-0) is looking to continue to prove himself in the UFC as he puts his 100% winning record on the line at UFC on ESPN 69 in Atlanta. The talented 27-year-old has won all eight of his professional MMA bouts with seven coming by knockout and the other by submission. Only two of his fights have gone into the second round but promptly ended without needing a third. Both wins since joining the UFC have come by TKO and after beating Nick Klein last time out in February, he will look to follow that up here.
The UFC matchmakers have paired him off against the experienced Cody Brundage (11-6 with one no contest). The UFC veteran has gone 5-5 with one no contest since joining the UFC back in September 2021 but comes off a TKO win over Julian Marquez in March. He has fallen short when facing decent opposition but shown he is capable against the lower echelon of the middleweight division.
Abdul-Malik is facing his toughest test so far but he has to be favoured in this one. Brundage is average at this level and with Abdul-Malik getting better with every fight and looking incredibly dangerous, we cannot oppose him in this one.
Prediction: Mansur Abdul-Malik to win
