Luana Santos vs Tainara Lisboa prediction

Luana Santos (8-2) saw her five-fight winning streak come to an end last time out as she lost to Casey O’Neill at UFC 305 last August. After reeling off three wins in a row to start her UFC career, the Sao Paulo native lost a unanimous decision last time out but she will be fired up to bounce back here.

The 25-year-old faces her 34-year-old compatriot Tainara Lisboa (7-2) who also hails from Sao Paulo and she is riding a five-fight winning streak coming into this bout. She has hit the ground running since joining the UFC, winning both bouts so far, and this represents a great opportunity for her to make another step up.

It is Santos who has the greater experience of fighting at the higher level of the Octagon despite being the much younger fighter. Lisboa should not be underestimated however. She is well rounded and possesses good power and submission skills.

Our sense is that Lisboa may be better than bookies’ odds suggest and we like the value on her in this fight. This one could easily go the distance but we are just edging Lisboa to get the win here.

Prediction: Tainara Lisboa to win
