Elise Reed vs Denise Gomes prediction
Elise Reed (8-4) is coming into this bout with good confidence after she beat Jessica Penne last October by unanimous decision. That takes her record to 4-4 since she joined the UFC back in July 2021 and this bout represents an opportunity to win back-to-back fights for the first time in the promotion.
She takes on Denise Gomes (10-3) who is an extremely promising 25-year-old Brazilian. She has won her last two fights and four of her last five as she is making many sit up and take notice of her. Her win last time out against Karolina Kowalkiewicz in November was particularly impressive and shows how far she has come and she will have no fear coming into this latest test of her credentials.
Gomes is heavily favoured here and understandably so. She is on something of a tear and her style is pretty relentless. We expect her to set a fast pace right from the start and a win either on the scorecards or potentially KO/TKO is most likely.
Prediction: Denise Gomes to win by decision or KO/TKO
