Dustin Stoltzfus vs Nursulton Ruziboev prediction

Dustin Stoltzfus (16-6) is coming off a much-needed win last time out as he knocked out Marc-Andre Barriault last November. That came after a knockout loss of his own against Brunno Ferreira and there have been some concerns over his durability with his last four losses all seeing him stopped (two knockouts and two submissions).

He has lost five of his eight fights since joining the UFC and he has clearly found his level. He has been tested against some decent calibre opponents, but has largely come up short.

He has been paired off against another tough competitor as he takes on 48-fight Kazakh veteran Nursulton Ruziboev 35-9-2 with two no contests).

Ruziboev had won ten fights in a row including his first two fights in the Octagon before his run was snapped by the in-form Joaquin Buckley in May last year on points. He bounced back stylishly by TKO’ing Eric McConico in February earlier this year and will be aiming to follow that up here.

The pair do have a mutual recent opponent as Ruziboev faced Brunno Ferreira on his UFC debut. He proceeded to knockout the Brazilian in 77 seconds while Stoltzfus suffered a KO at the hands of Ferreira.

Comparing results and performances against mutual opponents is never that simple but it only supports our sense of how this one will play out. Ruziboev is quality and we fully expect him to have too many weapons for Stoltzfus in this one.

Prediction: Nursulton Ruziboev to win
