Jared Gordon vs Thiago Moises prediction

Jared Gordon (20-7 with one no contest) returns after almost a year out of action through no fault of his own. He was scheduled to face Kaue Fernandes in February but that fight was scrapped with his opponent having visa issues. He was then replaced by newcomer Mashrabjon Ruziboev who failed to make weight and was ill so the fight was scrapped and now Gordon gets a new date and opponent finally.

Gordon lost his last bout against Nasrat Haqparast as a split decision went against him in Saudi Arabia. The 36-year-old has had some tough results in the last few years with just two wins in his last six fights but he has fought some quality opponents during that time including Paddy Pimblett and Grant Dawson.

He now takes on Thiago Moises (19-8) who is coming off a win over Trey Ogden earlier this year in January. He has the edge in momentum behind him with four wins in his last six and one of his two losses came against the talented Benoit Saint Denis.

Other losses throughout his UFC career have come against some quality operators like Islam Makhachev and Joel Alvarez, while he has a string of wins against some decent fighters.

Neither man is good enough to really impact the upper echelon within the division but they are always competitive. We have edge Moises coming into this one. We like his recent performances that bit more and he has six years on Gordon. He is the marginal underdog and we like that value here.

Prediction: Thiago Moises to win
