Julian Erosa vs Melquizael Costa prediction

Julian Erosa (31-11) has shown there is still life in him yet at the age of 35 as he has won his last three bouts in the Octagon. All three have come via stoppages in the first round and those victories are all the more remarkable given the fact he was TKO’d in his two bouts before this run of wins.

The 42-fight veteran has 31 wins and 26 of those have seen Erosa stop his opponent and even in the twilight of his career, he continues to be as dangerous as ever.

He takes on streaking Brazilian Melquizael Costa (23-7) who has also won his last three fights and the last two have already come in 2025.

He beat Andre Fili in February than returned just five weeks later to grab a decision over Christian Rodriguez. He is back once again for his third fight of the year and the 28-year-old has real momentum coming into this event.

That momentum is hard to ignore and the ever-entertaining Costa will take some stopping here. He is good enough technically to handle Erosa’s threat on the mat or standing, while he may have the edge in stamina and workrate to grab the decision. Either way, this will be a close-fought match, but we edge the Brazilian.

Prediction: Melquizael Costa to win
