Vitor Petrino vs Austen Lane prediction

Vitor Petrino (11-2) comes into his first fight of 2025 looking to get back to winning ways after losing his last two fights. Those were the first losses of his professional MMA career so it will be interesting to see how he approaches this fight after being submitted by Anthony Smith and knocked out by Dustin Jacoby.

This represents arguably the toughest test of his career as he looks to bounce back and he has been paired off against Austen Lane (13-6 with one no contest) on Saturday night.

Lane has found the going tough in the UFC himself and has only managed one win in his five fights since getting his shot after winning in Dana White’s Contender Series.

He has lost three of his last four (his UFC debut was a no contest against Junior Tafa) and he has been knocked out in all three of those fights. All six of his professional MMA losses have seen him knocked out which does not bode well in the heavyweight division.

Petrino will be looking to connect early and he does possess good knockout power. He will fancy his chances of bouncing back here against Lane and we expect him to do so.

Prediction: Vitor Petrino to win by KO/TKO
