Kennedy Nzechukwu vs Valter Walker prediction
Kennedy Nzechukwu (14-5) makes his first appearance of 2025 after an incredibly active 2024 which saw him fights three times. The 33-year-old has won both of his last two fights having TKO’d Chris Barnett at UFC 308 and then Lukasz Brzeski at UFC 310. Those two victories came after losing back-to-back fights and the Nigerian heavyweights will come into this fight with good confidence.
Valter Walker (13-1) is also coming into this UFC on ESPN 70 card having won his last two fights in the Octagon. He picked up successive first-round submissions over Junior Tafa and then Don’Tale Mayes as he rebounded after suffering the first loss of his professional MMA career. That defeat came in April 2024 against a mutual opponent of Nzechukwu in Lukasz Brzeski as he lost via unanimous decision.
The recent form of both fighters only adds to the intrigue of this bout. There is little doubt as to how Nzechukwu will approach this fight as he will look for the knockout from the very first bell.
Walker on the other hand, have reasonable knockout power but is incredibly dangerous on the mat and the Brazilian clearly has more routes to victory here.
Much will come down to which fighter can impose their game on the other but we lean towards the more well-rounded Walker to get the victory.
Prediction: Valter Walker to win by submission (or Kennedy Nzechukwu to win by KO/TKO)
