Talita Alencar: Can "The Problem Child" add to her two fight win streak?

BJJ standout, Talita Alencar (7-1-1) has been largely perfect since making the jump to MMA, with Stephanie Luciano standing as the only woman to deny “The Problem Child” a win since she began her MMA career in 2021. However, Alencar rebounded with an undefeated 2025, earning a decision over Vanessa Demopoulos before strangling Ariane Carnelossi with a third round rear naked choke last time out. While she’s no prospect at 35, Alencar’s grappling pedigree and punishing ground and pound have made her a solid addition to the ranks at 115 pounds.

Julia Polastri: Will "Pyscho" produce the first win streak of her UFC career?

Posting a 2-2 UFC run since joining the promotion via the Contender Series back in 2023, Julia Polastri (14-5) looks to push her promotional record above .500 when she returns on Saturday night. The Brazilian has alternated defeats and victories since making the jump to the big leagues and was last seen in action against Karolina Kowalkiewicz in October, destroying the former title challenger with a head kick and follow up punches. A pressure boxer who likes to march forward and grit down on the mouthpiece, Polastri also has a serviceable grappling game in her back pocket to fall back upon.

Talita Alencar vs Julia Polastri prediction

There’s an argument to be made that this represents the quintessential example of a fighter’s most recent appearance over-influencing the odds for their next fight.

Polastri may have decimated Karolina Kowalkiewicz by TKO in her last appearance, but the Pole has always been one of the most overrated fighters in WMMA history courtesy of her title tilt against Joanna Jedrzecyzk back in 2016; it’s not a particularly impressive win. Outside of that contest, her only UFC victory is a split decision over Cory McKenna, a fighter who lost their roster spot in the immediate aftermath of that defeat.

With that being said, she’s still likely going to earn the nod here. Alencar’s strength of schedule pales in comparison to Polastri’s, both in terms of overall experience and quality of opponent; Polastri has had more than double the amount of MMA fights and been in there with the likes of Jasmine Jasudavicius and Loopy Godinez. “The Problem Child’s” jiu-jitsu pedigree could undoubtedly come into play should the action hit the mat, but it’s worth noting that Polastri has never been finished - let alone submitted - throughout the course of her career.

As such, she looks to be the safe pick to earn a decision victory here.

Prediction: Julia Polastri to win by decision
