Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Prediction

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest have hit a bit of a rocky patch of late but they do remain third in the Premier League, whilst Ipswich Town, despite showing that they are competitive throughout the campaign, appear destined for a return to the Championship.

Nottingham Forest come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with Arsenal at the City Ground in midweek. Whilst a decent result, it does now mean they have managed just two victories inside 90 minutes in their last eight matches across all competitions, having edged past League One side Exeter City via a penalty shootout in the FA Cup fourth round.

Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town took an early lead at Old Trafford against Manchester United in midweek but a Jaden Philogene brace was not enough to prevent the Tractor Boys suffering a 3-2 loss up in Manchester. They are currently in the bottom three and the relegation places, five points adrift of safety in the Premier League.

With home advantage, Forest will be expected to take this one, albeit UEFA Champions League qualification will remain the priority, against an Ipswich side that are approaching desperation.
