The first-leg of this CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores 2026 round of 16 tie saw Cruzeiro share a 1-1 draw with Flamengo at the Mineirao in Belo Horizonte with Lucas Paqueta cancelling out Kervin Arroyo’s opener for Cruzeiro in the second half last week.
Even since the departure of Filipe Luis earlier this year, Flamengo have remained strong and they hammered Mirassol away from home by five goals to one at the weekend. Cruzeiro also earned a good win as they defeated Corinthians by two goals to one in Sao Paulo.
Cruzeiro will be awkward to play against here, as they were in the first-leg but their chance with home advantage may have come and gone, with Flamengo the favourites.
