Celtic vs Celta Vigo prediction

Whilst there is still time for both Celtic and Celta Vigo to turn things around in the Europa League, both teams need to start picking up points soon. That adds an extra layer of importance to this contest between the two sides. After being beaten at home by Ferencvaros, Martin O'Neill's Bhoys were outclassed in Lisbon, losing heavily to Benfica. Celta Vigo have also lost their first two league phase fixtures against Omonia and Juventus respectively.

Both sides were victorious this past weekend, and a tight encounter is likely with little to separate the pair. However, it's difficult to ignore just how well Celtic played as they demolished title challengers Hearts. If they can replicate that level of performance, they stand an excellent chance here, and with home advantage in their favour, backing Celtic to edge this one over the Spaniards warrants serious consideration.
