Benfica vs Aarhus prediction

Following the appointment of Marco Silva, Benfica began their season with a 2-1 loss to St Gallen in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa League second qualifying round tie. They then managed to overcome the Swiss outfit with a 5-0 win in Lisbon before hammering Heart of Midlothian by six goals to one in the next round, drawing the second-leg in Edinburgh.

Aarhus produced a surprise to win the Danish Superliga last season and they then produced a major comeback to beat Lech Poznan in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, having lost the first-leg 4-1 at home. The Danes did then succumb to a 5-2 aggregate loss to Azeri champions Sabah, losing the second-leg 4-0 in Baku.

Aarhus showed fragility on the road last week and Benfica have scored 11 goals in two European games in the Portuguese capital city and so a home win is again to be expected.
