Cerro Porteno vs Palmeiras prediction

The first-leg of this CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores round of 16 tie saw Palmeiras held to a 1-1 draw by Cerro Porteno at Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo. Palmeiras snatched a late draw with a 93rd minute own goal scored by goalkeeper Carlos Miguel.

Since that first-leg, Palmeiras have since succumbed to a thrilling 3-2 loss to Fluminense in the Brazilian Serie A at the Maracana, while Cerro Porteno edged past San Lorenzo by a goal to nil, courtesy of a first half winner scored by Juan Manuel Iturbe.

Palmeiras remain at the top-of-the-table in Brazil and are one of the strongest teams in South America but they are under pressure here with another low-scoring, tense and nervy contest to be expected at General Pablo Rojas in Paraguay.

Cerro Porteno vs Palmeiras tip: Under 2.5 goals
