Klaksvikar Itrottarfelag made it through the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League against Atert-Bissen before being knocked out by Kauno Zalgiris and then beaten in the UEFA Europa League by Lech Poznan with the second-leg of that tie being delayed by a day due to fog.
Riga began their European campaign with an entertaining 5-3 aggregate loss to Ararat-Armenia in the UEFA Champions League. They have since managed four successive victories with wins against Vardar and then a surprise elimination of Hungarian champions ETO Gyori.
Riga are in better form of the two sides here but neither are strong sides and a low-scoring encounter seems a decent bet for this first-leg in the Faroe Islands.
