Paula Badosa vs Harriet Dart prediction

Paula Badosa continued her progress at the Guangzhou Open after a straight sets victory over Sinja Kraus. Badosa won 82% of her first serve points, completing a 6-1 6-4 victory after 67 minutes on court. She defeated Carol Young Suh Lee by the same scoreline in her opening round match. She reached the final of the Iasi Open earlier in the year. The world number two is aiming for a strong end to a largely frustrating 2026. 

Her next opponent is Harriet Dart. The Brit advanced to her first tour-level quarter-final since Eastbourne in 2024 after overcoming Janice Tjen in three sets. Dart won 6-4 3-6 6-3 against the second seed, recording her second top 50 win of the year. 

The WTA head-to-head is locked at 1-1 between the pair, with Badosa winning their last match at the United Cup in 2023. The Spaniard has been impressive so far at this event, but Dart is likely to be her toughest test yet.
