Cameron Norrie vs Daniil Medvedev prediction

Cameron Norrie ended a five-match losing run in Vienna after defeating Francisco Cerundolo in the first-round. The 2022 Wimbledon semi-finalist controlled the match, only conceding the one break point and winning 6-4 6-1. This was Norrie’s first ever career win over Cerundolo at the fourth attempt.

He now faces former world number one Daniil Medvedev. The Russian continued his excellent run of form with a straight sets win over Daniel Merida. Medvedev was 5-3 down in the first set but fought back to take the lead after winning the tiebreak. He would go on to complete a 7-6 (5) 6-1 victory. Medvedev has now won 16 of his last 18 matches, having won two titles in Chengdu and Almaty since the US Open.

Medvedev leads the head-to-head 5-1, but this will be their first match against each other indoors. Medvedev is the clear favourite to advance to another quarter-final in 2026.
