Kaitlin Quevedo vs Jil Teichmann prediction

Kaitlin Quevedo advanced to the quarter-finals in Guangzhou after beating Anna Bondar in straight sets. The 20-year-old saved nine out of 10 break point opportunities across the match, winning 7-5 6-3. Quevedo defeated 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin in her first-round encounter. She picked up her first tour-level title in Sao Paulo last month, and is in the latter stages of another event just a few weeks later.

Her last eight opponent is Jil Teichmann. The Swiss player produced an excellent display to defeat sixth seed Zeynep Sonmez in the round-of-16. Teichmann dropped the first set but roared back to win 4-6 6-3 6-1. She advanced to the round-of-16 at Roland Garros earlier this year, but is now showing how effective she can be on hard courts.

Quevedo is clearly developing as a player, and I think she deserves to start as the favourite to win this match against Teichmann.
