Daniel Altmaier vs Taylor Fritz prediction

Daniel Altmaier reached his fourth tour-level quarter-final of the season after getting past Borna Gojo in straight sets. Altmaier, who came from a set down to beat Titouan Droguet in his opening match, enjoyed a more comfortable match in round two as he won 6-3 6-4. Despite only managing a first serve of 49%, Altmaier won over 80% of those points and he did not concede a break point across the entire match.

He faces second seed Taylor Fritz next. The American began his campaign with a win over Pierre-Hugues Herbert. Fritz began strongly and broke towards the end of the second set to complete a 6-2 7-5 victory. He is searching for his second title of the campaign, after success at the Washington Open in August. 

Altmaier does lead the head-to-head 1-0 after beating Fritz in four sets at Roland Garros last year, but the 2024 US Open finalist is far more of a commanding favourite indoors.
