Corentin Moutet vs Tommy Paul prediction

Corentin Moutet won back-to-back matches for the first time since March after a straight sets win over Felix Balshaw. The Frenchman required over three hours to get past Ugo Humbert in his opening match just a day earlier, but he enjoyed a more comfortable win on this occasion, beating Balshaw 6-4 6-4. Moutet conceded just the one break point and held serve throughout the entire match.

His next opponent is Tommy Paul. The fourth seed required three sets to beat Benjamin Bonzi in the previous stage. Paul dropped the second set on a tiebreak but recovered to win 6-4 6-7 (4) 6-3. The 29-year-old fired 18 aces in total.

Paul leads the head-to-head 2-0. They faced each other earlier this year at the Delray Beach Open, with Paul coming from a set down to win. Moutet will take confidence from how he has performed in his first tournament back since the US Open, but I expect his campaign to come to an end against the American.
