Nikoloz Basilashvili vs Adrian Mannarino prediction

Nikoloz Basilashvili continued his strong run of form with a dominant win over Facundo Diaz Acosta to advance to the quarter-finals at the Almaty Open. The Georgian converted all four of his break point opportunities, winning 6-2 6-4 after just an hour and six minutes. The 34-year-old reached the Chengdu Open semi-finals at the end of last month, and has won 12 of his last 13 matches, including qualifiers. 

He will face Adrian Mannarino next, following the veteran’s impressive victory over Andrey Rublev. The veteran won 6-4 3-6 6-3 after two hours and 15 minutes. Mannarino also required three sets to defeat Aleksandar Vukic in his opening match at the tournament.

Mannarino leads the head-to-head 3-1. These two faced each other just a few weeks ago in Shanghai, with Basilashvili retiring in the second set. I expect him to turn things around on this occasion, with his powerful baseline game suited to these conditions.
