Borna Gojo vs Daniel Altmaier prediction

Borna Gojo won his first main draw match on the ATP Tour this season after knocking out eighth seed Arthur Fery in the opening round of the Lyon Open. The qualifier saved five out of six break point opportunities in total, winning 6-3 7-6 (2) after one hour and 40 minutes. Gojo will now face Daniel Altmaier for a place in the quarter-finals.

Altmaier came from a set down to edge past Titouan Droguet in the first-round. Droguet broke at the end of the first set to take the lead, but Altmaier responded by winning the next two on tiebreaks to claim a 5-7 7-6 (4) 7-6 (3) victory after two hours and 52 minutes. The German struck 19 aces across the entire match. 

This will be their first official meeting on the ATP Tour, but they have met on two previous occasions, with Altmaier winning both matches. He defeated Gojo at a Challenger event in Launceston six years ago and also came out on top in Halle Open qualifying three years ago. His greater experience and past history may give him the edge once more.
