Clement Chidekh vs Jacob Fearnley prediction

Clement Chidekh claimed his first tour-level victory after impressively defeating Botic van de Zandschulp in the first-round of the European Open. Van de Zandschulp had just reached the round-of-16 of the Shanghai Masters at his last event, but he was largely uncompetitive on this occasion, with Chidekh racing to a 6-1 6-4 win. He has now won three matches in a row, including qualifying.

He will face Jacob Fearnley, who also enjoyed a dominant first-round victory in Brussels. The Brit continued his strong form after thrashing Hugo Gaston 6-0 6-3. Fearnley advanced to the final of the Olbia Challenger just a few days earlier, and he has now won five of his last six matches.

This is their first meeting on the ATP Tour, but they have met on two previous occasions. Fearnley came from a set down to win a qualifier in Nottingham two years ago, while Chidekh won earlier this year in Lille on the Challenger Tour. Both matches were decided by a third set, and it could go the distance once again.
