Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Marta Kostyuk prediction

Marta Kostyuk will meet Ekaterina Alexandrova for a fourth time when they face-off in Ningbo.

The Ukrainian has lost her last two and will be keen to get back to winning ways in what is her best season in terms of total match victories.

Alexandrova secured her spot in the round of 16 with a routine 6-2 6-3 triumph over wildcard Hanyu Guo and does lead the head-to-head with Marta 2-1.

However, her two wins were back in 2020 and 2021 respectively with third seed Kostyuk claiming a 6-3 6-2 success at this year’s US Open.

It’s been a below par season for Alexandrova, but the Russian has picked up since the grass swing. 

That said, we see a confident Kostyuk being too strong again with that blueprint for success fresh in her mind from Flushing Meadows.
